APIBASE is an operational data foundation for SMEs. It turns scattered business data into a structured, queryable, controllable data core.

## What APIBASE is not

APIBASE is not a traditional SQL database frontend, not a generic dashboard tool, and not a forced ERP replacement. It is a deterministic data layer and API-first platform designed to connect, structure, protect, and expose operational data.

## NQL

NQL lets users ask questions or trigger controlled actions on APIBASE data using natural language or simple pseudo-QL.

Before execution, APIBASE resolves:

- active user
- active token
- base or HIVE context
- table and column mappings
- relationships
- ACL permissions

NQL can read or write only if the active token allows it.

## API and data model

APIBASE uses deterministic coordinates internally.

Example coordinate style:

`/api/get/T2/L12/C2`

Meaning:

- T = Table
- L = Line
- C = Column

Same request, same rights, same data state, same result.

## Security model

APIBASE emphasizes Native Data Opacity.

Data is not globally exposed by default. Access is scoped through:

- BASE ownership
